Welcome to the Gifted and Talented Resource Page! This page provides Uvalde CISD parents and community members information related the gifted and talented program. UCISD aims to provide parents with the information and support needed to make informed decisions regarding their students. This collection of resource pages will assist parents with their journey to learn more about gifted students by defining giftedness and sharing supporting resources. Be sure to check out our quarterly newsletter for more information as well!

Each page contains a collection of materials that detail various topics related to the gifted program such as program policies, identification and assessment of gifted students, gifted services, and family and community involvement.

💡Our Mission 💡

The UCISD Gifted and Talented Program is committed to providing our students with learning experiences that lead to the development of leadership skills and the creation of advanced level products and/or performances while fostering independent thinking and the promotion of reasoning and critical thinking skills through collaboration with students of similar abilities.

UCISD gifted and talented students need a qualitatively differentiated program that is advanced, complex, and in-depth. The core purpose of the Uvalde gifted program is to facilitate the optimal development of each student’s intellectual and creative gifts and talents.
